<TIME WITH GOD – AUDIO>
Podcast Topic:
Time with God |
As I continued my journey to overcome a lifetime of anxiety and depression, I found the most important thing I could do was spend time with God. That sounds easy, but in a culture that pulls your attention in a million different directions, it can seem impossible to be fully focused on God for any length of time.

In the first seven episodes of The Journey of Healing podcast series, we discussed how to start seeking God in our lives, how to examine those lives, how to submit to change, and how to evaluate our relationships. In part eight we’ll discuss the most important aspect of true healing—we’ll explore what it means to spend time with God.
In this episode of the Brookwood Church Care Ministries podcast, I’m joined by fellow Care Ministries pastors, Gene and Doug to discuss the seventh of eight principles used in Celebrate Recovery* and the Landing. These 8 principles* (based on the Sermon on the Mount) can be used to strengthen your walk with Jesus even if you’ve never attended one of these ministries.
PRINCIPLE 7:
Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.
How has God worked in your life through your time with Him?
I’d love to have you share in the comment section below.
