WHAT IS LECTIO DIVINA?
Lectio Divina is Latin for Divine Reading, an ancient practice for drawing closer to God as we read the Bible. Well known Christians like John Calvin and St. Augustine embraced the principles of Lectio Divina to pursue a deeper, growing relationship with Jesus Christ in their lives. But the idea of engaging in a 12th century spiritual discipline with a Latin name used by monks, saints, and puritans can be overwhelming.

A FRESH APPROACH Experiencing the Word has given new life to Lectio Divina and Reflective Prayer using a unique journaling and card-based system to make our quiet time with God deeper, passage selection easier, and the process more tactile and engaging.

This straight-forward, five-step process teaches us how to reflect on small portions of Scripture and communicate with God.
